What is CumulusPro Archive?
CumulusPro Archive is an enterprise document archiving service in which documents, metadata and the search index are stored in your own Microsoft Azure subscription, while CumulusPro hosts and maintains the archive application as a service. Documents are stored as standard files that you can read with standard Azure tools, with or without our application.

Your data, your subscription
Documents, metadata and search index live in your Azure subscription and the region you choose, under your own agreement with Microsoft.

Your IT manages the Azure resources with familiar tools. You grant our access and can see and revoke it in your Azure portal.
We run the software
CumulusPro hosts, updates and monitors the archive application. No archive servers to patch, no upgrade projects.

CumulusPro Straatos captures documents from any source, classifies and extracts the data, lets business users check it, then archives it.
Two planes. One clear line between them.
The data plane is your Azure subscription: documents, metadata and search index, encrypted at rest. You choose the region and manage the resources. The application plane is ours: user interface, business logic, updates and monitoring, delivered as a service. The application reads and writes to your storage through permissions you grant. It never becomes the place where your archive lives.
Many customers ask us to set up the Azure side with them during rollout. You stay the owner; we help you get started.

Each document is archived with its retention class, set by Straatos or your systems through the API. Legal hold blocks deletion while a matter is open. Every action is written to an audit trail you can review and export.
